Design for the two final blocks of Campbell Street, from Second Street to the western terminus, is currently underway! This final phase of work will complete the vision for a multi-modal and vibrant Campbell Street in downtown Tofino.
The proposed design builds on downtown Tofino's unique character, carrying forward materials and elements from previously updated blocks of Campbell Street. Upgrades include continuous sidewalks on both sides of the road, designated bicycle lanes, seating areas, trees and planting, and improved intersections. Features include a covered bicycle parking area with an electric bike charging station, a new bus stop with covered seating at the intersection of First and Campbell Streets, and a seaside overlook at the end Campbell Street.
Please take the opportunity to review the design drawings here and the video and images on the right, then fill out the feedback form below. Your input will help us identify potential improvements that should be considered before the design is finalized. We look forward to hearing from you!
