The Business Licence Bylaw No.1239, 2022 was adopted on June 14, 2022. Following adoption, the Business Licence Regulation Bylaw No. 858, 2000 was repealed.

  • New provisions/regulations for all business operations.
  • Introduction of new business classifications.
  • Increased enforcement powers for specific classifications.
  • Clarification on Licence Inspector’s authorities under the Community Charter.
  • Clarification on Public Markets.
  • Clarification on more specific regulations pertaining to B&Bs, Short-Term Rentals and Guesthouses regarding: licencing requirements, complaint response times and parking requirements for on-site residents.
