The proposed development will create 20 strata-title multi-family units along the Gibson Street frontage of the property. The structures will be in the western portion of the property, three storeys in height, with one-bedroom units at street level and two-bedroom units spread over the two upper storeys. Parking will be in the rear of the building with one parking spot provided for each unit.

Currently, four of the units are proposed to be sold at below-market rates as affordable housing in conjunction with the Tofino Housing Corporation.

    Council gave first reading to a zoning amendment that would facilitate the development of a 20-unit multi-family housing project at 565 Campbell Street.

    Permission to Proceed for 565 Campbell Street Zoning Amendment Application
    Council granted staff permission to proceed with a review of the rezoning application for 565 Campbell St. This proposed rezoning would include four units of affordable housing. Staff will schedule an open house following first reading.
