Report to Council - April 28, 2026
Council received an update on the Recreation and Parks Master Plan and supported the recommended next steps to advance the project.
The plan is intended to guide priorities for recreation, parks, trails, facilities, and services in Tofino over the next 10 or more years, helping to inform future investments and decision-making.
Council reviewed the updated second draft, which includes proposed actions such as exploring aquatics opportunities, improving indoor recreation space, enhancing the Community Hall, developing new outdoor amenities, and continuing investment in existing parks and recreation assets.
Council supported a final round of community engagement, including an open house and online feedback opportunities, before a final version of the Master Plan returns to Council for consideration and adoption.
