Notice of Public Hearing: Tuesday, August 12, 2025
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the Local Government Act and regulations contained in the “District of Tofino Development Application Procedures Bylaw No. 1331, 2023”, that a Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 5 PM in person and online to hear representations from members of the public who deem their interest in property affected by the following bylaw:
District of Tofino Bylaw No. 1290.01, 2025 (District of Tofino Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1290, 2021) proposes to update District of Tofino regulations around increasing staff accommodation in areas outside the Village and Future Homes areas. The bylaw would make limited residential development permissible outside of these areas only where supported by Land Use Designation policies. All persons who deem their interest in property affected by the proposed bylaw will be given an opportunity to be heard on matters contained in the bylaw.
Copies of the proposed bylaw may be requested for inspection at the District of Tofino Municipal Office, 121 Third Street, Tofino, British Columbia, during regular business hours (9 AM - 12 PM & 1 - 4 PM), Monday to Friday, July 28 to August 12, 2025, excluding statutory holidays.
