Update: Zoning Amendment - First Reading

At the Tuesday, November 10, 2026, Regular Council meeting, Council will consider first reading of a zoning amendment bylaw for the District-owned property at 740 Campbell Street. The proposed new zone would support the development of a 21-unit affordable multi-family housing project in partnership with the Tofino Housing Corporation, along with a public waterfront park and access to Browning Passage.

First reading would advance the zoning review and allow further referrals and technical review, including infrastructure, water servicing, fire flow, environmental considerations and other site requirements.
