Update: Third Reading

At the September 1, 2026, Regular Council meeting, Council gave third reading to the Official Community Plan amendment bylaw for the District-owned property at 740 Campbell Street. Council also directed that the summary of comments received during the August 11, 2026, Public Hearing be maintained as part of the public record.

Council’s third reading of the OCP amendment does not approve any proposed development on the site. It advances the change to the broader land-use policy for the property. A related zoning amendment is still required to establish what development would be permitted on the site, and that process will return to Council for consideration at a future meeting.
